Only in the USA. Seriously.
I grew up in Europe and we had no 'drinking age'. Yet there were less drunken homeless around than up here in North America.
They arrested Jeff Lake, father of girl who was celebrating her 18th birthday, Olivia Lake, for hosting party where some 150 teens were supposedly drinking. There were other adults present.
There was no other disturbances at all. Just somebody complained and cops felt need to come harass people.
So, does this mean they would prefer if their kids were drinking unsupervised hiding somewhere unsafe?
If somebody wants to drink you are not going to stop them. You can make it safe for them, and retain some form of control, or you can give up control entirely by pretending you have it.
Just another sign that USA legal ages need to be dropped down soon.
